A Fish Story
On wywoo's site, I found the fish story that got me hooked on LYA.net.
Read the story to find out why I called them that. You know what that is don't you?
*********A Letter in a Bottle*********************
There was a very boring guy living in California. He was very bored every day. Most the time after the work, he had nothing to do. Only once a while, he went to the coast next to the Pacific Ocean. He looked at the ocean. There was nothing there. Of course, it was not true. There was water in the ocean….
Oh… He looked at the ocean. This humble but very talented guy suddenly noticed there was a unique bottle floating on the sea. The bottle got nearer and nearer to the seaside where he was standing. He stretched his arm and grabbed the bottle from the water. There was a note in it.
Curiously he opened the cap and read the note. “I am a Korean actress sitting at the seaside of Jeju Island. I have just finished my 8 months acting work with director Lee Byung Hun and actor Ji Jin He. I am glad I have finished the shooting. The story is about a kitchen maid who became the first Korean female doctor. I am the main lead in it. I have to memorize a lot of scripts in my appearances so that I am now long for a rest. Whoever finds this bottle is considered a friend God send to me. If you receive this message, please send a letter to me through www.leeyoungae.net‘s Love Letter column. Put the subject: A letter in a bottle, and put your e-mail address there. I occasionally visit the site so I will notice your message and will write to you to arrange your visit to Seoul to meet me in person immediately.”
This bored guy’s eyes were wide opened. He said, “There is not just water in the ocean, but also a bottle and a note. Phew….life is full of excitements”.
He stared at the bottle. Then he was staring at note for a long time.
“Who is this actress? How can I send a letter to a stranger? I don’t know her. Should I give my e-mail address to her?” Again, he was sitting at seaside and looking out to the ocean. There is nothing else out there.
Suddenly something jumped out the water. It was a fish. The fish talked...

Rosel
Thank you for inviting me to your party. I want to attend it but your place is so far away. Let me just paraphrase Richard Bach (in his book "There's no such place as far away"): If I wanted to be with you, am i not already there?
Enjoy your day like it is the first day of your life.

You guys are all crazy!
When I joined the site, the discussion was so thick on a fish story started by one of the fans. I enjoyed reading the comments, the bantering between the fans while they were “writing” the story. They were all crazy, I said to myself. I think that was my first comment on the board: You guys are all crazy! To my surprise, nobody minded me.
If you have been visiting leeyoungae.net, you must have become familiar with some of the fans. Let me tell you something about them.
Number one on the list is wywoo, an engineer, based in the United States. He knows how to tickle us fans with his VODs that we call him master wywoo. Lately, he is into cooking and he is aging FAST! Last I looked at his myspace account, he was 88 years old; a month ago he was 77. Will he be 99 next month? Visit him at http://www.myspace.com/wy_woo to find out.
Then there’s Alice from Hongkong who is a professional oboe player. The spirit of volunteerism is so alive in her that she spends her free time teaching music to children. As far as I can remember, she has been to Harbin (China) and Berlin to see/be with YA. In Harbin, YA gave her a hug like a long lost friend when she introduced herself to YA and was even interviewed by Korean media. She recorded one of JITP's OST; when I find that particular recording in my files, I will share them with you.

My first encounter with Lee Young ae
Are you looking for Lee Young ae? You must have been, or your search would not have brought you to this site.
I am sort of a late-bloomer. The first Koreanovela I saw – a term we use to refer to Korean dramas - was, you guessed it right, Dae Jang Geum or Jewel in the Palace. A friend told me to watch it. By then, it was already on its second run in one of my country's networks. I don’t have the time, nay the patience, to sit for 30 minutes viewing so many commercials, which when put all together will be longer than the drama itself. Luckily for me, my sister’s friend, who is a Korean drama addict herself, lent me her complete set of JITP dvds.
Surf the net I did about JITP. And everytime I found a site about it, it was always about Lee Young ae. Thus, my “affair” with Lee Young ae and other things Korean started.
